Team communication: key roles and intercultural contexts

Workshop 3 - Academic Career Development Programme

Workshop language English
Date    Fall 2021
Time 9.00 am - 5.00 pm

Workshop content

This workshop helps participants learn team communication and become aware of the intercultural issues affecting their work. The workshop provides them with a set of tools to address these challenges.

On the first day of the workshop, participants explore those issues most often affecting communication in terms of team dynamics. On the second day, participants move on to investigate those intercultural aspects that most frequently pose challenges to groups characterised by a high degree of internationalisation. Throughout the workshop, participants are encouraged to identify the specific role that each individual plays within a team. Within this context, the workshop is always characterised by a constant alternation between theoretical insights and hands-on practical experiences to provide participants with the tools to enhance their group's professional potential.
