HHU Researcher Alumni Professor Dr. Haofu Dai of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Tropical Bioscience and Biotechnology, China revisited HHU in January 2018 to take part in the doctoral defense of Hao Wang at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Biology and Biotechnology at HHU. Together with his collaborator and former host Prof. Peter Proksch he supervised the doctoral student over the past three years.
This collaboration in frame of the doctoral supervision produced three jointly published papers and further intensified the relation between the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and HHU. The research topic that both research groups are interested in is bioactive secondary metabolites from tropical medicinal plants.
Since 2009 Prof. Dr. Dai is regularly visiting Düsseldorf and has already co-supervised four doctoral students and one postdoc together with Prof. Proksch. Supported by the undefinedStayConnected@HHU programme Prof. Dai participated in the oral defense of Hao Wang in the end of January 2018.
