Enhancing & supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of researchers through holistic self-care activities. In this workshop, you will learn additional tools that can further help you to embrace the various challenges throughout your career path, but also find the balance  you are seeking for in your life so that you can make decisions more easily and quickly.

Change is inevitable. The increasing demand on academics and ongoing changes in the research landscape bring uncertainty (e.g. job security) and complexity (e.g. career development) in academic settings, which can affect other areas in one’s life. 

Through yoga (i.e. physical movement and breathing exercise) and coaching (i.e. self-awareness and self-development). Yoga can help you to promote strength, balance and flexibility while coaching can help to gain further insights into yourself. 
Please bring your own yoga mat.

Dr. Winnie S Chow works as a yoga teacher and coach. She holds a PhD in psychiatry from Queen Mary University of London. As a former researcher and counselling psychologist, she has substantial experience in counselling, coaching, research and public health. She has lived and worked in a number of different countries, including Ireland, Italy, Thailand, U.S and U.K.
