Are you a mid-career researcher with well established routines in your research (and teaching) but starting to feel stuck? Then this workshop invites you to take stock, reorient and think about next steps.

How can I advance myself, my research, and my area of work? How can I make my work visible and ensure that it contributes equally to the overall goals of the department as well as to my own research topics and interests? What is my scope of action? What opportunities are there in regard to third party funding?

These and similar questions will be discussed in the workshop. This way the workshop offers the opportunity for established mid-career researchers with permanent or long-term positions to approach their work with a strategic eye. Based on the canvas model and with some creativity we will reflect on the participant’s purpose, formulate their goals, and map next steps, potential network partners, and desirable outcomes. The aim is to enable participants to advance their own work, increase its visibility, and actively contribute to the research agenda of their department.

Dr. Neela Enke  has been working as a trainer since 2011, specialising in leadership, conflict and diversity management, and career development in the higher education and research sectors. As a certified coach and trained mediator, she supports postdocs, university staff and senior managers, and also helps individuals, teams and organisations to resolve conflicts constructively.
