In this workshop on Your Research Canvas- we will ideate a use-case for your research result!
What is the application potential of your scientific work? In this workshop you will think about possible user groups and stakeholders of your research topic. Why might they benefit from your research? You have time to brainstorm potential use cases and take shared ideas to the next level with the other participants.
• Theory: Introduction to user groups and potential use cases
• Exercise: Applying the Research Canvas to your own research
• Play: Get creative brainstorming potential use cases for your research topic
Workshop Goals:
• Reflection on the potential of your own research topic/idea
• Getting to know different interest groups
• Evaluation of the potential by identifying users
• Develop or expand potential use cases based on your research and network
You will additionally learn to pitch your technology/use-case.
With a set of tools and a structure you will learn to build a pitch and practice how to hold a pitch for an audience that may not share the scientific expertise and knowledge of you field.
Dr. Dadhichi Paretkar is a Transferscout at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Cologne and part of the Gateway Excellence Start-Up center of the university since 2020. He assists researchers at all stages of their career in exploring the full innovation potential of their research. Offers strategic support to sustain research impact along the innovation journey of a technology from lab to market. He has a trained researchers on innovation, transfer and entrepreneurship and is a certified trainer for Science Entrepreneurship by the Young Entrepreneurs in Science (Fallingwalls Foundation, Berlin). He has extensive experience in venture building within international academia and industry and brings in more than a decade of experience working in multi-disciplinary materials research, innovation and transfer projects across UK, US, the Netherlands and Germany.
